Forgotten Shtetls of Eastern Europe
"Belz, my shtetl Belz... "mayn heimele"- my little home". The song, written by Jacob Jacobs and Alexander Olshanetsky in 1932 is a nostalgic evocation of idyllic life in prewar world of East European Jewry, Ruth Ellen Gruber was writing in her book - National Geographic Jewish Heritage Travel: A Guide to Eastern Europe. This tour is partly inspired by Ms Gruber's book, partly by our own interest in history and culture. It is a 'rediscovery' tour during which you will visit some of the most beautiful shtetls in Eastern Europe.
